| 'On Line' Performance and Appraisal Systems - |
So many organisations in our experience have to contend with tired and ineffective ways of managing and developing performance.
This is often because of historical 'hangovers' in the way things are done and the fact that not nearly enough investment and focus has been put on this essential area.
Whether you are a commercial business, or a public sector body, maximising the efficiency and effectiveness and ultimately the performance of your people is (or should be!) of paramount importance.
There are of course a number of contributing factors to improving performance but one of the new products and services we have developed to do just this is that of creating a bespoke web based performance management and appraisal system. In effect a simple 'on line' system which has huge advantages of time and cost savings, whilst being far more effective than traditional paper based systems.
Imagine this. Any of your employees can access your central competency framework and relate this to their own job role. They can also access their own personal objectives and targets document. This means they are always clear on what competencies they are expected to demonstrate, what they are measured on, and what they are expected to deliver in their job.
When it comes to conducting appraisals, the system has a simple template which is preloaded with all aspects that relate to that person in their job role. The line manager and the appraisee simply complete the review sections, submit it to the database and the appraisal is complete.
Finally, as the appraisal may have highlighted competency 'gaps' in the appraisee, this can in turn drive the personal development plan, again partly automated.
The whole system is accessible via the web from anywhere in the world, and all data is backed up and secure via a user name and password approach.
This system is completely bespoke and any client can have the system in whatever form they like, very cost effectively.
